ABOUT THIS BOX
If you haven’t heard the news, butter is making a comeback through the traditional foods movement. Get back to butter and feel great!
The traditional food movement focuses on the real, whole foods our ancestors ate — unprocessed and traditionally prepared. Our Back to Butter Box is inspired by recipes from Molly Chester and Sandy Schrecengost, authors of “Back to Butter: A Traditional Foods Cookbook.” Chester is behind the popular blog Organic Spark and Apricot Lane, a biodynamic gem in Moorpark with outstanding produce, nitrogen-rich manure and no artificial compost. It has an abundance of avocados and lemons, while apricot trees appropriately line its entrance.
WHY THIS BOX?
Each box includes a super healthy jar of Tava Ghee, a new product you’ll love as much as we do. Once organic pastured butter has been slowly cooked and the impurities have been removed, ghee remains with all its goodness and health benefits. It can be heated safely to high temperatures as it flavors each home-cooked meal with its amazing nutty taste. No need to store in the fridge. Ghee is best at room temperature, as it stays soft and easy to spread.
We’re also adding Smart Simple Gourmet’s chicken broth as well as kombucha from Health-Ade.
