Bonjour! In honor of the 2016 Cannes Film Festival this week, Sara Woodward of New York City’s Le Bernardin and Melissa Cortina of Out of The Box Collective have designed a Provençale-inspired menu for those of us who could not quite make it to the Palais des Festivals. The box includes a recipe for Provençale Beef Stew that’s been the Monday special at La Mère Besson, a traditional family bistro in sunny Cannes, for decades. With dishes inspired by the South of France, we can stretch ourselves out on our chaises longues and dream that we’re really on the French Riviera.
As warm May breezes float along the French Riviera, walk the red carpet with an artisanal loaf of Bread Lounge’s Walnut Bread in hand! Top it off with a smear of Marin French Breakfast Cheese while sipping your French Roast Coffee. Did we forget something? Oh yes, you can’t talk about the South of France without dreaming about Olive Oil. Drizzle a dash on your Tomatoes and Cucumbers, and top your delectable dishes with fresh Rosemary and Fennel.
