Just because the high summer bounty has passed, doesn’t mean all the fun is over. The recipes below were written by Surfin’ Chef Erik Stenberg and adapted for extra coziness by Caitrin Hall. These dishes have comfort, heart, and season in mind.
WHY THIS BOX?
The lemon pomegranate pepper chicken with roasted sweet potato is a simple and quick dish. Pastured chicken anchors the tart zing of the lemon and pomegranate sauce. Pomegranate is so unbelievably bountiful at this time of year in our mediterranean climate–we love dreaming of different ways to incorporate its jewel seeds and refreshingly healthful juice. Kitchen boxes that include chicken also have a small jar of pomegranate juice to complete this recipe.
To get into the festive mood, we have dried persimmons from Peacock Farm, one of our favorite dried fruits – nature’s candy and a delicacy in Asia.
